Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Western Region

Job Title:        Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
                      Western Region 
                      WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT, WY, UT, AZ

Department:    Sales

Reports to:      Director of Sales

Ross Regional Sales Managers are responsible for capital equipment sales, ongoing account services, direct marketing and product promotions for Ross Industries equipment.   Promote sales of equipment both domestic and internationally under the leadership of the Director of Sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell Ross portion control equipment to food processing industry
  • Continually visit customers within designated region to assess needs for Ross equipment
  • Follows, identifies customer needs, submit proposals, and close orders
  • Pricing and related incentives other than published pricing or per approved guidelines with the Director of Sales
  • Conduct demonstrations of Ross equipment, both at Ross Industries and customers’ facilities as required
  • Identify applications of Ross equipment for new potential customers
  • Work scheduled trade shows
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions as required
  • Work closely with service technicians on new product installations
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts for equipment on a monthly basis
  • Submit weekly sales call reports
  • Utilize CRM for all sales activities
  • Ability to travel extensively, minimum of 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) to customer locations.  Position travel requirement is 90% with some weekend work and travel
  • Work effectively and relate well with others
  • Exhibit professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience and education

Requirements:

  • Sales in capital equipment strongly preferred
  • Innovative, energetic, and goal oriented driven sales experience
  • Industry experience a plus
  • 5 + years experience in selling capital equipment in food processing industry
  • Proven track record
  • Strong technical background
  • Well organized, detail oriented, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and customer relationship aptitude

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time walking and standing
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist at the waist
  • Ability to work in varied production environments (extreme cold and heat)
  • Ability to spend extended period of time traveling by plane, car, domestic and internationally

Sr. Controls/Electrical Engineer

Job Title:          Sr. Controls/Electrical Engineer

Department:    Engineering

Reports to:      Engineering Manager

Summary:

As a member of the technical staff, the electrical and controls engineer is responsible for the design and development of all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.  Includes but not limited to, development of structured programs, system design, and machine testing and troubleshooting.  Key project team member providing engineering support, design and development of PLC’s and motion control systems to support sales, manufacturing and service.  Other responsibilities include technical support of existing products currently in production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of the design of PLC’s and motion control equipment for Ross Packaging/Processing Equipment
  • Creates, reviews, and documents the design of new or revised assemblies and parts.  Insures design is based upon sound Engineering judgment, is not a safety hazard, and is designed with manufacturing in mind.  Understands that he/she is accountable for results
  • Participates in pre-production and design reviews
  • Releases well organized electrical packages using fully documented Engineering Change Notices
  • Provides controls support to sales, manufacturing and service
  • Required electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of field’s concepts, practice and procedures, including design, repair and analysis of electronic systems
  • Ability to model in 3D

Education and Experience:

  • BS in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in field or related area
  • Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Exposure to CE and OSHA guarding
  • Working knowledge of machinery design for the food industry

Requirements:

  • Successful candidate must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Experience working with analog circuit simulation tools, must be proficient using Solid Works and ability to model in 3D, proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must be able to visit customer locations to include meat processing divisions, withstand extreme cold and warm conditions, install and/or test equipment to assist with customer needs and expectations

Administrative Assistant – Sales

Job Title:          Administrative Assistant – Sales

Summary:

Plans and coordinates scheduling and administrative tasks.  Provides support in administration of the sales order process from parts sales, quotes, order entry, orders in process to shipment of equipment to customer.   Provides support to departmental staff by facilitating project logistics such as meetings, event planning, and presentations, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales and customer service department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, well organized, and ability to multi task
  • Work closely with RSM’s to provide quotes, general mailings, system updates, etc.
  • Responsible for customer correspondence utilizing M1 and other automated resources
  • Order Entry and Tracking
  • Coordinate machine shipments with Customer Service Manager
  • Provide monthly sales and correspondence reports
  • Track bonus and commission schedules for RSM’s
  • Administrative support to Director of Sales and other departmental staff
  • Coordinate Sales Meetings and travel
  • Attend Production Meetings
  • Assist with product demonstrations
  • Provide assistance to Parts, Service, and Reception
  • Proficient  in MS Office, and automated manufacturing data systems

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous administrative experience in Sales and/or Customer Service environment
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment and/or Sales environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years progressive administrative experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary
  • Ability to spend extended periods in front of PC
  • Well organized, detail oriented, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and customer relationship aptitude

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time walking and standing
