Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Western Region

Job Title:        Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
                      Western Region 
                      WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT, WY, UT, AZ

Department:    Sales

Reports to:      Director of Sales

Ross Regional Sales Managers are responsible for capital equipment sales, ongoing account services, direct marketing and product promotions for Ross Industries equipment.   Promote sales of equipment both domestic and internationally under the leadership of the Director of Sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell Ross portion control equipment to food processing industry
  • Continually visit customers within designated region to assess needs for Ross equipment
  • Follows, identifies customer needs, submit proposals, and close orders
  • Pricing and related incentives other than published pricing or per approved guidelines with the Director of Sales
  • Conduct demonstrations of Ross equipment, both at Ross Industries and customers’ facilities as required
  • Identify applications of Ross equipment for new potential customers
  • Work scheduled trade shows
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions as required
  • Work closely with service technicians on new product installations
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts for equipment on a monthly basis
  • Submit weekly sales call reports
  • Utilize CRM for all sales activities
  • Ability to travel extensively, minimum of 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) to customer locations.  Position travel requirement is 90% with some weekend work and travel
  • Work effectively and relate well with others
  • Exhibit professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience and education

Requirements:

  • Sales in capital equipment strongly preferred
  • Innovative, energetic, and goal oriented driven sales experience
  • Industry experience a plus
  • 5 + years experience in selling capital equipment in food processing industry
  • Proven track record
  • Strong technical background
  • Well organized, detail oriented, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and customer relationship aptitude

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time walking and standing
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist at the waist
  • Ability to work in varied production environments (extreme cold and heat)
  • Ability to spend extended period of time traveling by plane, car, domestic and internationally

Sr. Controls/Electrical Engineer

Job Title:          Sr. Controls/Electrical Engineer

Department:    Engineering

Reports to:      Engineering Manager

Summary:

As a member of the technical staff, the electrical and controls engineer is responsible for the design and development of all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.  Includes but not limited to, development of structured programs, system design, and machine testing and troubleshooting.  Key project team member providing engineering support, design and development of PLC’s and motion control systems to support sales, manufacturing and service.  Other responsibilities include technical support of existing products currently in production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of the design of PLC’s and motion control equipment for Ross Packaging/Processing Equipment
  • Creates, reviews, and documents the design of new or revised assemblies and parts.  Insures design is based upon sound Engineering judgment, is not a safety hazard, and is designed with manufacturing in mind.  Understands that he/she is accountable for results
  • Participates in pre-production and design reviews
  • Releases well organized electrical packages using fully documented Engineering Change Notices
  • Provides controls support to sales, manufacturing and service
  • Required electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of field’s concepts, practice and procedures, including design, repair and analysis of electronic systems
  • Ability to model in 3D

Education and Experience:

  • BS in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in field or related area
  • Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Exposure to CE and OSHA guarding
  • Working knowledge of machinery design for the food industry

Requirements:

  • Successful candidate must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Experience working with analog circuit simulation tools, must be proficient using Solid Works and ability to model in 3D, proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must be able to visit customer locations to include meat processing divisions, withstand extreme cold and warm conditions, install and/or test equipment to assist with customer needs and expectations

Payroll & AR Administrator

Job Title:          Payroll & AR Administrator

Department:    Accounting

Reports to:      Controller

Summary:

Responsible for timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for the organization, maintain payroll system, employee records and all associated reporting requirements.  Administer all aspects of AR to include but limited to processing customer invoices, responding to customer inquiries, analysis and collection of overdue accounts and reconciliation of related GL accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Update personnel changes in payroll system per information received from HR, including but not limited to personnel additions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
  • Provide timecards for hourly personnel; update time clock transactions for hourly personnel and adjust the records for inaccurate punches.
  • Reconcile all reporting information related to earnings, withholdings and deductions.
  • Maintain analysis detailing PTO (Paid Time Off), accrues eared PTO on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries to record the distribution of payroll and reconciles the payroll transactions to the associated General Ledger.
  • Compiles and provides payroll analysis and reports as required.
  • Reconciles bank accounts and  employee receivables.
  • Process customer invoices on daily basis; prepare the daily sales report and any other related documents required by the customer and or government agencies.
  • Calculate outside sales commission on a weekly basis.
  • Track and accrue RSM sales commission on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Provide back up to front desk and switchboard.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or 4 plus years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience utilizing automated payroll processing system and automated accounting systems.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in A/R.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of Payroll, and AR
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • MS Office
  • Proficient and accurate data entry, ability to utilize spreadsheets, and automated accounting software
  • Well organized, detail oriented, with strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and work independently
  • Excellent customer service and customer relationship aptitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required
  • Valid Driver’s Licens

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
